Poon hill trek is best for all beginners trekkers as well as trekkers who have a short time to trek but want to see the annapurna himalayan range from very near. You are not going to trek at very much altitude zone. you will be doing trek untill 3210 Meter from where you would see more than 14-16 peaks which are above 6000 Meter height and the most important one is you would see two mountain above 8000 Meter from same place that is Annapurna and Dhaulagiri 8091 m and 8,167 meter respectively  Poon Hill trek is very short and easy trek which starts from Nayapul and ends at Nayapul. it is a very popular trek destination which gives a splendid view of the Annapurna Himalayan range and provides an opportunity to interact with local people, their lifestyle, culture, and tradition.  This trekking trail goes through spectacular and magnificent landscapes, marvelous Gurung and Magar villages, lush green Rhododendron, and forests to Ghorepani. ghorepani 2875m (9435ft.) from here trekkers can see the magnificent and very close view of Mt Annapurna 8091m (26545ft), Annapurna South 7219(23684ft). Mt Dhaulagiri is the tallest one standing in the height of 8167m From sea level as well as Dhaulagiri Range.    The trail is unique and awesome for a natural experience. It has a very diversified environment from the Birethanti to Ghorepani. Birethanti is lowland where people can plant rice while in Ghorepani just seasonal vegetable.  Local people In a lower land of the trail do a production of rice, maize, wheat, mustard, millet and seasonal fruit like mango, litchi, guava, papaya, orange, lemon, banana and much more fruit.  While on Ghorepani you can see different temperate and sub-alpine plant like oak, Rhododendron and many other herbs and shrubs. From  Ghorepani, you can hike poon hill 3210m(10531ft)  where you can have a spectacular of,  Mt Annapurna 8091m (26545ft), Annapurna South 7219(23684ft), Annapurna III 7555m (24786ft), Gangapurna, 454m(24458ft), Holy and beautiful mountain 6997m(  22956ft) and many another mountains.  Poon hill trek highlights  Poon hill trek can be done in 4 days This trek can be done Even if you have 4-5 Days as well but you need to take the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara here is the itinerary  Day 01- Kathmandu to pokhara by flight and trek to Tikhedhunga Day 02- Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani Day 03- Ghorepani poonhill Hike and trek to Tadapani Day 04- Trek to Pokhara and Fly back to Kathmandu  You can also do Annapurna base camp trek from here  This place is in the middle of Annapurna region where 3-4 trekking routes joins together. you can do Annapurna base camp trek also from here.
