Spend your Summer Holidays in Europe by visiting the most exotic islands on the earth. Hop on to beautiful islands during Summer Holidays in Europe. Europe might be a small continent, but when it comes to history, heritage, culture, cities, beaches, and islands, it has much to offer. Ranging from larger ones to small atolls and islets, the continent has thousands of islands. In fact, there are several archipelagic nations and island countries. Life on an island is probably different from the mainland and mostly it revolves around the spectacular coastlines in many of these beautiful spots on the earth. Apart from the sea, sand and sun, the historical sites, culinary culture, traditional festivals, and fiestas make these islands exotic. So, given a choice, I always love to hit an island destination at every given opportunity. Here, I bring to light the most exotic islands everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. Corsica, France This mountainous Mediterranean Island was conquered by both France and Italy several times in history before it actually settled down with the later since 1768. The capital of the island is Ajaccio. It has spectacular coastal towns, craggy peaks, and lush green forests. Most important of all, it has beaches ranging from busy Pietracorbara to remote Saleccia and Rondinara. Between the sea and the mountains, it hides many secrets to discover on Corsica Holidays. Hit the most challenging GR20 hiking trails to watch the towering peaks of red granite gradually sloping into the sea. Malta Malta is an archipelagic nation on the central Mediterranean Sea which is perfect for passionate getaways as well as family outings. A history spanning over millennia, it has a rich wealth of ancient sites and UNESCO world heritage attractions. Boasting a few of the prettiest beaches in Europe, it is a great summer and winter sun destination. Furthermore, it elevates the horizon of joys with several cultural carnivals and fun-filled festivals. Finally, the historic and also the UNESCO world heritage city of Valletta captivate everyone with exquisite architecture and delectable food. Madeira, Portugal The main island of Madeira in Portugal is one of the prettiest islands in the world. With verdant and rugged landscapes, cliffs, pebbly beaches, and lively rivers, it is truly a blissful place for nature lovers. Most importantly, the warm climate and delicious wine lift your spirits as high as the cliffs. Moreover, it is also an idyllic island to spot diverse wildlife and flora. Visit the botanical gardens in the capital city of Funchal and gift the fondest memories to the children. Santorini, Greece If you are planning a romantic getaway, Santorini Holidays are the perfect getaway for a beautiful holiday. Besides, it is one of the most famous wedding destinations just not in Europe, but across the world. The whitewashed houses with blue coloured furniture capture every eye on a holiday. Actually, this island is also known for the mythical city of Atlantis which is believed to have existed some 3000 years back. Away from the beaches, this island has several Minoan sites like Akrotiri. Especially, this is one of the most important cultural centres of the ancient world outside Crete.
